The work has been completed early by our engineering team. All historical software title data is now normalized based on 100% matching of title.

Update
Normalization of software titles for all accounts in the Australia (AU) and Europe (EU) data centers is complete. Due to the size of the US data center we will be extending the maintenance window another 5 weeks. The extended time will ensure stability of the platform while this big data transformation is underway.
While this is ongoing, you will see any newly discovered software titles be auto normalized. This maintenance window is purely for cleaning up historical software titles.

Scheduled
We are going to be releasing new functionality in our software area that will normalize titles that match on a 100% threshold. This new functionality will make it easier for organizations to see what software is in their environment and take action if needed.
Example: Google Chrome with multiple versions will be normalized into a single primary software record. If Google Chrome changes the title to Google Chrome v1, then all software reporting back with that new title will be merged into a new primary labeled Google Chrome v1.
This maintenance window is required for us to do the first big normalization of all software data across all accounts. What you can expect during this time is your software index becoming unavailable for up to 30 minutes while we normalize your software data. If you navigate to the software page during the normalization, you will be greeted with a landing page indicating your data is being normalized.
This will not impact any other function and or performance of the platform.
